Model Summary:
WA-1400E : Cooling only
WA-1400H : Cooling with Heater
WA-1410E : *UV Light / Cooling only
WA-1410H : *UV Light / Cooling with Heater
It also uses a new UL/ETL required plug (for units operating with 15-amps or higher). This type of outlet is new and may not be available in all buildings. Please NOTE:
1) Requires a minimum dedicated 15 amps circuit.
2) The unit is designed to operate on a 120-volt/20-amp circuit, using a specific electrical plug and outlet. If you do not have this type of outlet or if not enough amperage, contact an electrician who can install a proper outlet designed to carry the necessary amperage.
Pictures of the plug and outlet can be found below.
The WA-1400 ideally cools an area up to 470sq.ft. Effectively improves air circulation in poorly ventilated spaces and maximizes energy efficiency. Uses new UL required LCDI plug.
Self-Evaporating Technology during the cooling process, water is extracted from the air into the unit. Most of this water is then recycled and used to cool the cooling coils and make it run more efficiently, cooling as well as saving energy.
Note: Exhaust hose installation required (all standard accessories included).

*Purpose of UV Light
WA-1410 models incorporate the technology of UV Germicidal lighting
(UV-C) to effectively inactivate microorganisms. Due to its short
wavelength (200 to 270nm), UV-C penetrate outer membranes of bacteria,
yeasts, molds and viruses - attacking the DNA which makes up their
structure. By breaking the chains within the DNA, the microorganism is
then unable to reproduce and die. UV Germicidal light has proven
effective in a growing number of applications where control of
microorganisms is important.
